Cord Coagulation in Twins

Cord Coagulation in Twins

In twins with a single placenta, when there is an anomaly in the twin partner and this anomaly is a severe anomaly for which there is no treatment, in some of these situations, the growth of this baby in the mother’s womb may seriously affect the health of the other twin baby.

In these cases, it may be necessary to stop the circulation with coagulation in the womb under the guidance of ultrasound or fetoscopy of the umbilical cord. When this operation is required, it is beneficial to perform it as early as possible.

These operations are special operations that may be necessary in multiple pregnancies.
